Missouri English Driver's License Mandate
In addition to the Missouri voter photo id requirement , the requirement for driver's license exams being given only in English is essentially creating a state language, so that English will be required to obtain a government issued photo id, which leads to the ability to vote in the state. With the US not having a national language, and knowing English not being a requirement to be a citizen (yes it is a requirement to become a citizen if previous foreign citizenship was held) Missouri has no right to require English. Yes it is expected that citizens should be able to read road signs posted in English, but being able to recognize road signs and understand their meaning can be done at a comprehension level lower than the level required to pass a written exam.
